In seventh grade I caught the peacock bug. It started with a pair of blues, as it usually does, but as soon as I looked at a few sites on the internet and saw how many different colors and types there were I just had to have more. A year later, I had 12 birds and 6 different colors. Now, I have 25 or so adult birds and a passel of chicks, yearlings and two year olds waiting for new homes. It's been a wild ride, filled with excitement and disapointment, but in the end it's worth it just to watch my guys and gals interact and show off for each other and me.
